Way back in 1973 or 1974 - yes, that's 25 years ago, a historic meeting took place in downtown Johannesburg. A young programmer with a computer bureau promised to give the Tractor Manufacturer's Association a bunch of statistics by which they could measure their - and competitor's performance - and establish a computerised database for them. It happened. As promised.
Mr Martin Kruger, MD - Response Group Trendline In 1986, Martin and his associates, Gert Grundlingh, Allin Padayachee and May Walker were proud to have Mr Robin Phillips, Chairman of SAAMA, make the opening speech at the opening of their first building, Response House in Port Elizabeth.
Simultaneously the first
ever on-line enquiry database system was released - giving vivid colour
tabular and graphic output - directly plottable onto paper or
transparencies if required. The system received world-wide recognition
and acclaim. Response Group Trendline has made many friends via SAAMA. These respected friendships have sustained through good - as well as hard times. Thank you gentlemen. |
